Just a sample of what our Caricature artists
are capable of. Everyone loves a self-portrait, especially when they come in the form of a cartoon. On average, caricaturists
can draw 13-17 people per hour in black & white, and 10-11 per hour in color, but quantity varies based on the artist.
Most artists use 11 x 14 paper for their drawings. Requirements are space for an easel and two to three chairs. Set up
should be in a WELL-LIT area if indoors; overhead covering is necessary if they are working outdoors under any conditions
(a well-shaded area will work as well).
There is a minimum
2-hour booking with additional time in quarter-hour increments.
DIGITAL CARICATURES (*new*)
Some of our artists now offer digital caricatures for corporate
awards and such. Artists use a Wacom tablet connected to a laptop, on which they draw your caricature by hand from a photograph
(sent to us by email or snail mail). Photoshop allows the simulation of many types of drawing and painting media. The result
is a painting created entirely in the computer. See digital caricatures below.
